Here
are some graphic files that I have either collected from sites
on the web, or
if they are nature and animal pictures, these
pictures were
taken by my husband,and processed by me.
Our House .. is a very fine house..with two deer in the yard
Here's Sadie - Buck Bros. mom - she likes to eat
our birdseed(she thinks we don't know this)
I wasn't going to say this, but decided I wanted to. Last hunting
season, we found Sadie
dead in our yard, from a gut shot from a bow and arrow. Someone
shot her, and left
her to die. No more deers eat from our feeder, as she was the
only one that
seemed to knew how to manage it.
My husband, (who named her by the way) and son, had to collect her
body and
dispose of it, because when we called the proper people about it, they
said that
she had been dead too long to salvage the meat for the less fortunate.
It saddens me greatly, and I was going to take her pictures down, but
she was so pretty
and sweet that I decided to leave them here. If you haven't guessed
by now, I AM NOT
a fan of hunting, and never have been. My husband and son are,
however, BUT respect
me enough not to hunt here. Unfortunately, other people do not.
They don't seem
to care that they are killing almost TAME deer, worse yet, if you HAVE
to shoot one,
at least you could have the decency to track it, and make sure it's
dead, and take
it, so that it's death wasn't a TOTAL waste. (Which it is in
my book anyway)
